Hormone Balancing Bliss Bites
/These protein-rich snack bites help balance blood sugar + prevent cravings while adding in key hormone balancing nutrients such as zinc, iron, magnesium + potassium.
Ingredients
1/3 cup Almond Flour (or meal)
1/4 cup Vanilla Protein Powder
1/4 cup Pumpkin Seeds
2 Tbsp. Cacao Nibs
2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 cup Tahini
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
1/2 cup Dried Fig (Avoid sulfites and sugars)
Water (optional; if needed)
Instructions
In a food processor, combine dry ingredients and spices.
Add in the tahini and maple syrup until a thick dough forms. If it is too thick to work with, add the water. Add figs and mix through slowly.
Use a tablespoon to scoop out dough and roll into balls, approximately 1-inch in diameter.
Chill in the fridge for at least 20 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
Serve chilled. One serving is equal to one ball.
Nut-free? Use ground oats or sunflower seeds instead of almond flour.
Sesame-free? Substitute almond or sunbutter instead of the tahini.
