Good Belly Tonic

This cooling tonic can help relieve symptoms of nausea, bloating and indigestion especially after a heavy meal or related to morning sickness.

Makes 1-2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 inch piece of ginger root, peeled and sliced thinly

  • 1/2 lemon, unpeeled, cut into round slices

  • 1 peppermint tea bag (or 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea)

  • 2 cups of pure filtered water

  • Optional: drop of pure raw honey

Instructions

  1. Place ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

  2. Simmer 10-20 minutes, cool and enjoy.

  3. You can sip warm or cold but a cooler drink may bring more relief.
