Calming Herbal Latte
/An absolutely delicious and comforting herbal tea latte featuring chamomile and passionflower.
SERVES: 2
Ingredients
2 cups milk (any kind - I use Califia Farms unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoons loose chamomile tea
1 tablespoon loose passionflower tea
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cinnamon stick + ground cinnamon for garnish
NEED: A strainer, small saucepan
Instructions
In a saucepan, add 2 cups of your favorite milk
Add chamomile leaf and passion flower leaf to the milk. If you don’t have loose leaf – you can empty out a tea bag into the milk.
Add ½ a cinnamon stick and heat on medium heat.
When little bubbles form along the sides of the pan, let it simmer for a couple of minutes before turning off the heat.
With the heat turned off, steep for 5-10 minutes depending on how patient you are.
Strain the hot tea latte into 2 mugs using a strainer.
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to each mug and sprinkle with cinnamon.
