Calming Herbal Latte

An absolutely delicious and comforting herbal tea latte featuring chamomile and passionflower.

SERVES: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (any kind - I use Califia Farms unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tablespoons loose chamomile tea

  • 1 tablespoon loose passionflower tea

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cinnamon stick + ground cinnamon for garnish

  • NEED: A strainer, small saucepan

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, add 2 cups of your favorite milk

  2. Add chamomile leaf and passion flower leaf to the milk. If you don’t have loose leaf – you can empty out a tea bag into the milk.

  3. Add ½ a cinnamon stick and heat on medium heat.

  4. When little bubbles form along the sides of the pan, let it simmer for a couple of minutes before turning off the heat.

  5. With the heat turned off, steep for 5-10 minutes depending on how patient you are.

  6. Strain the hot tea latte into 2 mugs using a strainer.

  7. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to each mug and sprinkle with cinnamon.
