Iced Hibiscus Tea
/This beautiful bright-red, cold-brewed, herbal infusion is sooooo refreshing on a hot summer day. Hibiscus tea contains hibiscus protocatechuic acid which has anti-tumor and antioxidant properties. Hibiscus flowers also carry amazing cardiovascular benefits and can enhance the body’s ability to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Two cups a day for one month has been shown to have positive effects on HDL, LDL and total cholesterol levels as well as triglycerides and high blood pressure. Those with low blood pressure should take care with hibiscus as well as pregnant women.
